I needed order. With hundreds of responsibilities—and without being highly systematic, exceptionally meticulous or naturally organised—I lacked a simple tool that could tell me what I had already collected, which expense or sales invoices were still missing, and whether there were any gaps before I sent the documents to accounting ahead of month-end. For years, I gathered documents from emails, folders and different systems, then manually compared them with my bank statement. Always, absolutely always, there was an invoice I had failed to add. I kept submitting my monthly documents as late as possible because I knew something would be missing again. In the world of ADHD perfectionism, that alone is enough to put the whole thing off until the last possible moment.
I created CraftedBills as the solution to a problem I no longer wanted to go through again every month.
